Is This the Ultimate Home Setup for Vlogging and Live Streaming?

If you’re a content creator who also does a lot of live streaming and vlogging, check out this ultimate home desk rig complete with lighting, sound panels, monitors, stream switcher, teleprompter, and more.

Caleb Pike has ten years of experience when it comes to creating content and live streaming, and this desk rig is probably one of the most extensive and professional-looking setups you’ll ever see. You might not want to replicate everything that he’s put together but this video is rammed full of tips and tricks to give you some ideas for how to create your own.

Bringing his creation together is the Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro, a stream switcher designed specifically for live streaming and broadcast. The other piece of gear that grabbed my eye is Pike’s teleprompter which allows him to look directly into the lens while reading his script. Rather than using the Glide Gear Teleprompter with a tablet, Pike has swapped it out for an HDMI monitor which gives him a number of advantages (check out Pike’s other video here).

I was shocked at the impact of the sound panels. If you have a room that suffers from reverberation, you don't have to go with sound panels and B&H Photo has various sound blankets that offer a much cheaper — if less pretty and slightly more fiddly — alternative. A little bit of dampening can make a significant difference.

What else would you add to this immense rig? Let us know your ideas in the comments below.
