So i was in the Pocono's this weekend with the family and we were 20min from this fall. I had been wanting to see it for a bit since it is 2hrs away from my house and for 1 waterfall well, that's quite a distance.
The raw file is an ugly one, i pretty much don't like anything about it so i was hoping processing would help. Unfortunately it's hard to polish a turd.
I quite like it, Joseph. I've done a less radical edit. There are appealing textures in the rocks - the foreground ones look a bit bland in the original. So I've tried to bring that out and warm the pinkish rock tones (although they no doubt ARE pinkish in reality), as well as add a bit of cool sky blue to the white water.
BTW, it looks quite rotated clockwise, about 2.5 degrees, although it's impossible to know for sure with a scene like this. I've rotated mine ACW about 2 degrees as a compromise.
looks Good Chris way more texture than i would typically go for but great suggestions as usual
You needn't waste money on sharp lenses, then, Joseph!
lol
