Survivor

Was fortunate to find this tree on a hill just outside Montreal. Sun was setting behind me so i had to hurry to get in position for this long exposure.. after β€œjumping” a fence i struggled another ~50m waist height in the snow - not for sensitive viewers:) but for this pastel sunset it was worth it.

Very pretty pastels 😍 and the minimalist composition is beautiful.

Thank you Sophie

This is a very great shot, I'm tempted to use it as desktop background :)

Thank you Ian ...yes it does make a great backdrop

I could see this matted and framed, fantastic photo! Yeah I'd hop some fences myself to get that. :)

Great job, Marius! I like the simplicity, and the soft pastel sunset hues, not overdone.

Thank you Chris

"Jumped the fence in waist height in snow". Now that is how you make an image. Nice job πŸ‘πŸ‘

Thank you Brian

My kind of shot Marius, so simple and elegant. I bet this would look great in B&W also.

Great job!

Thank you Alan .. yes i did 2 more 1 just earlier when the sky was more yellow and 1 where i converted it to BW - and yes the BW does look great - i think

Thank you Wade

Well worth the effort.

indeed. thank you Kenneth

Lovely soft tones and composition.

Nice shot!
Given how perfectly simple the composition is, have you tried putting the tree in the dead center and making a square crop? or 4x5? I think it might make even stronger photo.
