The Ghost of Iredale

The Ghost of Iredale
Oregon, Coast
August 2019
------------------------
Haven't shot much Milky Way this year, but 2019 had plenty of nights under the stars to make up for it. This was one of my favorites of the Peter Iredale Shipwreck in Oregon.

Not too subtle light painting technique by another photog definitely worked out off camera (I'm sure his image didn't look as good lol)

Geeky stuff

Composite/Blend
Nikon d850
Nikkor 14-24 @ 24 / f3.2 / 20"
ISO 3200

Sky
24mm / f3.2 / 13"
ISO 8000

Nice work, Jordan. Not often you can thank the other #@%$ photographer for messing up your shot!

Haha - yeah I know. I was cursing him when I got there, but once I realized what the side light looked like, I piped up lol.

Too bad it was a couple of people with a Bluetooth speaker and drinking beers, or I would have showed them the error of their ways haha. (I feel old)

Nice shot. I haven't seen that much of the superstructure since the mid 70's. During the 80's the beach south of the jetty started growing until all that was visible of the Peter Iredale was about 3 to 4 ft.

Wow! That's crazy! That's why I love shooting on the coast, it's so variable and dynamic!

Interesting shoot.
