Had some time today to browse through old images that were taken ages ago with a 2 mega-pixel (yes 2) point-and-shoot camera. This was captured during a trip through Glacier National Park over 20 years ago.
I like the image and it brings back so many fond memories, and that's what so much of photography is about for me.
Will this image win any awards, absolutely not and that's not what is important! What is important is that I smiled when a ran across it :)
My first digital camera was also 2mp and the pictures look surprisingly good.
The world of photography and especially cameras are evolving very fast.
That picture you took with a 2mp camera looks pretty good, surprisingly.
But you are absolutely right. The important thing is always the memory that the photograph generates in you. For me, that will always be the most important thing.
