Jökulsárlón, Iceland

Jökulsárlón is a glacial lake located in southeast Iceland. Its name means "glacial lake of the river of glaciers". Jökulsárlón is one of the most beautiful and well-known natural wonders of Iceland.

The lake was formed by the melting of the Vatnajökull glacier, the largest glacier in Europe. When the glacier retreated, it left behind a landscape where three different elements meet - ice, water and sand. Jökulsárlón is surrounded by mountain massifs and beautiful nature.
