Black Cottonwoods, Colorado

150 Sinaron · f/32 · 25 Seconds · ISO 200

We were in Pagosa Springs in the fall. I was along the E.Fork of the San Juan River when I came to these Black Cottonwoods. The sun was still hidden by the ridge to the south, but almost over it. Just high enough in the sky to illuminate these cottonwoods brilliantly while the mountainside was still in shadow. My favorite lighting scheme. I used a Toyo 45 camera, no filter, a Sinaron 150mm lens and Kodak T-Max 400 film
