Gambels Oaks, Court of the Patriarchs

65mm Sinaron · f/32 · 25 Seconds · ISO 50

I have been asked to post this image, so, here you go. I had been working for a few days at Page, Arizona under constant, very heavy rains. I decided to migrate over to Springdale, Utah so I could do some work in Zion. When you enter Zion from the east there is a very long, about a mile long, tunnel. When you exit the tunnel the floor of the canyon drops, literally 2,000 feet so it is quite spectacular. On this occasion the canyon below was completely undercast, like a plane descending through a rain or snow storm. I was on the valley floor for an hour or so, and the storm that had brought so much rain began to clear away and it made for a lot action and excitement. There was even a seasonal waterfall at the end of the canyon.
