I had driven past this church many times driving from Espanola to Taos or other places east of Espanola in Northern New Mexico and decided one day that it was time for me to stop and make a photograph. It was interesting to see how the white crosses stood out against a nearly cloudless chrome blue New Mexico sky. It was in late December and it had snowed so the snow was melting, making the fronts of the bell towers discolored from the snowmelt. I used a Toyo 45A camera with a 300mm Rodenstock lens and a #15 Yellow filter with T-Max 400 film.
