Fern Fronds and Burnt Redwood Tree

I was hiking in the Giant Redwoods on the North Coast of California. Very foggy and overcast, so the light was very soft - great for this type of material. I was drawn to it by the shape of the fern and the repetitive shape of the ferns contrasted against the almost black texture of the burnt Redwood tree it was leaning against. I used a Toyo 45A camera with a Sinaron 150mm lens. No filter. I used Kodak T-Max 100 film.
