Supercell, Raton, New Mexico

A buddy of mine and I had been in Colorado for several days back packing and making photographs on the south end of Rocky Mountain National Park. we were driving home out on the high desert plains when he had to stop for a nature break. There's nothing out there but lechugilla and prickly pear cactus, the occasional cottonwood tree, rattlesnakes and antelope, so who cares where you answer nature's call. It was hot, very hot in late August and storms were popping up in all directions. I am sure this one would be soon in Oklahoma where it would do some damage. I used a Toyo 45A camera, 210mm Sironar-S lens with a #21 dark orange filter and Kodak T-max 100 film
