My wife and I were in Alaska and decided to take helicopter ride up onto the surface of the Meade Glacier. I was sitting in the right seat of the cockpit and as we came up between the rocky sides of two glaciated mountains this scene unfolded. I really hadn't planned on making any images from my seat since it would be through the plexiglass bubble of the front seat, and my ability to see to the left was obstructed by aircraft controls. But who could resist this? As I remember it, this is from one image as the bird was moving. It was surreal to be moving over this, almost like looking through a fisheye lens. I used a Canon 6D with a Canon 17-40L lens. The image is cropped pretty severely to get rid of a lot of extraneous material that didn't contribute to the image
