Taiban is an almost town between Clovis and Ft. Sumner, New Mexico. I knew there would be a storm moving through the area so I loaded up my truck one Sunday afternoon and planned to be there just before the sun cleared the horizon. Nature did not disappoint. The red of the sunset really brought up the red of the red dirt that is so common in the area, the cloud structure was great and then a rainbow appeared just as I was getting ready to make the photograph. I used a Toyo 45A camera and a Schneider 47XL lens with a UV 15 filter. I used was Kodak Ektachrome E100G for the exposure which was determined using a Gossen SBC Luna Pro hand held meter.
I usually do use black and white film, however this one would be lost as a black and white.
