We were in Colorado for a few days. I had been out very early, but it was largely unproductive. We were back in the cabin and I noticed that it was clouding up. When I stepped outside these Mammatus Clouds were forming so I grabbed my camera pack and tripod and headed for the woods; as I say. Fortunately I was able to find good subject material to put under the clouds. Usually these clouds come right after, or before violent thunderstorms.
