When I saw this image as the sunlight receded, I felt that it was a real opportunity to truly explore light and shadow. I snapped on a 500mm lens to get in close. I wanted maybe just a slither of light. In the desert, it cools at sunset. Just giving the white balance a gentle touch of blue helped to provide the feel of this visual.
