Storm, Twilight Canyon, Colorado

We were in Colorado in the mountains east of Durango and decided we wanted to drive over to Silverton to see the train and to eat. It had been raining so much that we could hear avalanches in adjacent canyons, so there was a lot of rain. We drove out from under the storm front about 10 miles or so south of Silverton, and up through one layer of clouds when we came to this spot. The sun was coming into the canyon through a break in the clouds, illuminating the ridges of the N-4 and N-5 Needles Peaks with low hanging clouds and a distant ridge of Aspens. I used a Toyo 45A camera and a 90mm Sinaron lens with a #15 Yellow Filter. The film used was Kodak T-Max 100 rated at ASA 50.
