I had been working up on the Colorado Wyoming border, and was driving back to my home in New Mexico. There was a huge storm brewing to the north as I was driving between Salida and Walsenburg and it seemed to be a thing I should stop and make a photograph. The wind was blowing so strong that I had to literally hold the tripod hard to the ground by gripping the center column. The tripod was set up the straddle a barbed wire fence, which added another element to the difficulty. Rain began falling in torrents almost immediately after I got the image made and I had to put the camera in my truck to disassemble it and put it away in my back pack. I used a Toyo 45A camera with a Sinaron 90mm lens with a #21 Dark Orange filter and Kodak T-Max 100 Film.
