Sunflowers

Last spring I planted a bunch of sunflowers of varying varieties in a difficult spot in my yard. They were very interesting and added a bit of sunshine to that area. At a point I became fascinated with what I might do with them as a still life type of image. I used a Canon 5D MkIII and a Canon 24-105L lens. Exposure was done using window light on the left and a reflector on camera right. BTW, this is like a step back into my previous life where I mostly worked in a studio environment.

Great job. Before I read your description I was trying to determine if this was studio work or not. I hadn't until after I read it.

Thank you. I have a bunch of foam core stored in my workroom and set a piece behind it to make a background and then set one opposite the widow to kick light back into the scene, so it was very simple to do. I really do enjoy sunflowers. They have too short a season.
