Perseids

The day after watching the solar eclipse, I was still thinking about what I had seen. I hadn't even planned to photograph the eclipse, but it completely captivated me and while editing the images, another idea came to mind: spend the next night under the stars and photograph the Perseids.
I called a friend, explained the plan, and a few hours later we were standing in complete darkness beside a lake.
Between 10 PM and 1 AM, I captured around 2,500 frames. About 50 of them contained meteors, and I combined some of the best ones into this composite.
My first attempt at creating an image like this definitely not my last.
