Río Cinca — Valle de Pineta, Ordesa

The Río Cinca carving through the Valle de Pineta in Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park, Huesca. The river was in full summer flood after heavy rainfall — noticeably higher and faster than the trail markers anticipated. I shot from a boulder position at the canyon rim to get above the white water while keeping the jagged ridgeline of the massif in the background. The overcast sky was a deliberate advantage here — direct sun on fast water this white would have blown the highlights completely. The layered composition — white water, dark canyon rock, green forest, bare mountain — came together more cleanly than I expected from a handheld position.
