Castle Hill Lighthouse by Jonathan Lee Martin

Castle Hill Lighthouse

January 9, 2017

On returning to the States in November, I flew into JFK and drove to Rhode Island to see New England's coast for the first time. The foliage alone was magical, but Newport has an alluring share of nautical charm.

I visited the Castle Hill Lighthouse over three days at different times of day, and each time it was more magical than before. Other than another photographer and some fishermen, I had the spot all to myself. The last day, I stayed till the nautical twilight to watch the lighthouse's transformation into one of the most idyllic settings of Rhode Island.

Newport, Rhode Island.
