Blue Giant, Jökulsárlón

Jökulsárlón is one of the most magical and exhilarating places I've visited in Iceland. It comes "out of nowhere" - you just drive the R1 road, and suddenly you're surrounded by giant icebergs, scattered around the glacier lake and beneath the road / bridge you're driving on.

The place has its specific smell - cold, fresh and humid "Ice Breath" - as I like to call it. The glacier lake - Lagoon - is full of (mainly) bigger and (sometimes) smaller chunks of icebergs, chaotically drifting on the tides and hanging around the shore. In the center of all this icy chaos - there he is. The Blue Giant.
