Golden Afternoon, Iceland

One of the more strange things to me, about visiting Iceland in October, was the angle of sun rays. The sun stays so low in the sky, that throughout the whole day - from the very morning - I had a feeling it's already late afternoon. I thought the sun would set in aprox. 1 hr. But the photo was taken around 3 hrs before real sunset!

I really like this shot. Amazing light revealing the texture of the land.

Thanks, Paul. That's exactly what I had been thinking at the moment. To me, the light was most important at the moment, hence the almost "abstract" quality of the shot (no sense of scale, no recognizable objects in the frame, etc.).
