The Canadian Rockies feature some of the best mountain landscapes on the planet. Many are familiar with Banff and Jasper National Parks, especially the iconic locations. However, there is so much to explore in both parks and that's where my photography interests lie. A few years ago, I did a 55 -mile backpack and packraft with two others. We based our off trail route on some climbing reports, but also ventured into new areas where very few, if any people, had been. One of the miraculous scenes we encountered was this towering waterfall with a perfect view of some of the finest glaciated peaks the Rockies have to offer. It was the most difficult backcountry trip that I've done, but one of the most rewarding.
