Morning Sunrise by the Lake

The alarm went off in my camper. I could hear faint rain drops falling trying to convince me that sleep was way more important than venturing out for sunrise. But I powered through and got up. I stepped out of my camper and grabbed my camera gear, hopped on my bike and took off. I didn't have an exact spot in mind. Just knew that I wanted to be beside the lake. As the sun began to rise I began to pedal faster. I looked to my left to see a pier sitting in a completely calm lake. I knew immediately this was my spot. I made a U-Turn and headed down to the dock to setup my tripod and camera. As the sun crested over the mountains I noticed a bit of fog rolling through the trees. I clicked the shutter button and smiled. I am glad I got out of bed on this day.
