Fallen Cypress in the fog.

This beautiful old cypress tree fell over into the Yeopim Creek here in North Carolina about 10 years ago. As it ages, it gains character. In addition, the portion in the water creates cover for bass, and other pan fish which attracts fishermen to the location. The air was cool on this first day of August; the water temperature remained high from the oppressive heat throughout July. The interactions in temperature generated a light fog that interacted with the warm colored sunlight. This atmosphere created an environment for an interesting image in the quiet of the morning.
