Recently, Adobe dropped a major Photoshop update, introducing an array of new features that add new capabilities and make your work more efficient and easy. Some of the new features have a bit of a learning curve, however, but here's a great tutorial to get you up and running in no time.
The bevy of new features in Photoshop CC 2015.5 is pretty great; I've been exploring them myself the last few days, and they've already made my workflow quicker, more fun, and less tedious. The new Face-Aware Liquify has made making subtle adjustment in portraits lighting fast, while the new masking tools have saved me from cursing at my screen quite a bit. This great tutorial from Photoshop Training Channel walks you through the process of using each feature quite thoroughly, including Face-Aware Liquify, Content-Aware Crop, Match Font, Alternate Glyphs, and the Select and Mask Workspace, including some great tricks to really take advantage of the new capabilities. Even though it's 25 minutes, it's well worth a watch to bring yourself up to speed.
Have you used any of the new features yet? Let me know your experience, and be sure to share some examples of your work in the comments!
When is Adobe going to actually come up with some workflow enhancements instead of these little magic tricks?
I wouldn't have much use for most of the new features, but it is working a lot faster now which is great.
Me as well! I'm quite pleased.
So much for the subscription based model being the excuse for "easier" enhancements and upgrades,
Every time they release some goofy element to the package, yo have to do a total re-install anyway. It's pointless and stupid. People loose plug-ins, actions etc.. It's a lot of hullabaloo for the people renting this.
Add to this the constant shoving of the product by everyone from Kelby, to that jerkoff with an Afro on YouTube. Everyone is jamming a discount for 12 months. I have the 2015, and no plans on doing anymore upgrading until something tangible comes out of the box.
Liquify faces! What's next?
