How to Retouch Lips in Photoshop

We spend a lot of time working on perfecting our retouching technique when it comes to hair, skin, and eyes, but just like those aforementioned aspects, the lips are also a crucial part of the face, and as such, they deserve equal attention in the post-processing phase. This excellent video tutorial will show you the ins and outs of retouching lips in Photoshop to ensure your portraits are in tip-top shape.

Coming to you from Kayleigh June, this great video tutorial will show you everything you need to know to retouch lips using Photoshop. One of the trickiest parts of post-processing lips is that unlike skin, you have very little to sample from, and as such, if there are not many good areas from which to sample, you have to be a little cleverer. Beyond that, just like skin, lips need proper texture to be believable, and without it, they can look overly artificial and fake. Nonetheless, when you get them right, they are one of those details that really make a portrait look of a professional level, and as such, it is well worth taking the time to get them just right. Check out the video above for the full rundown from June.
