Learn How This Fantastic Portrait Was Created and Shot

Lindsay Adler is well known for creating dynamic and vibrant portraits that capture viewers' eyes and imaginations. If you would like to see how she does it from start to finish, check out this fantastic video tutorial that will guide you through a red-inspired portrait shoot, including set design, lighting, gear, and editing.

Coming to you from Lindsay Adler Photography, this excellent video tutorial will take you behind the scenes of a red-inspired portrait shoot. I am always fascinating by photos that use a single color predominantly. One of the challenges of this is ensuring that your subject and background are still separated despite the mostly monochromatic color palette, something that is achieved with good lighting technique, which is one of the things I always appreciate about Adler's technique. As you will notice, she rarely does (or needs to do) much post-processing of her images besides basic adjustments, as she works hard to get things as close to her vision in cameras as possible. While modern editing software is incredibly powerful, having a solid foundation in things like lighting technique will make you a more confident and consistent photographer who is better able to realize their creative visions. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Adler.
