Have you ever wanted to take a behind-the-scenes look into the factory that makes your cameras and lenses? Carefully put on your cleanroom suit and check this out.
Johnnie Behiri from cinema5D was recently granted access into the Fujifilm factory that is responsible for manufacturing some of best products available today, including the Fujifilm X-T2, Fujifilm GFX 50S, and MK-series lenses.
Did you catch that clip in the video of the employee effortlessly adhering the textured surface to the X-T2 body with precision? Most people I know struggle just to get their smartphone screen protectors on straight. Seriously though, the crew working out of the Sendai, Japan factory appear to be extremely talented, and us end-users can really appreciate all the hard work they put in by hand to every detail.
If you now have the itch to check out other behind-the-scenes photo gear factory videos, I recommend taking a look at this one showing how RED cinema cameras are made, as well as this one for the Leica Noctilux 50mm f/0.95 lens.
looks like everything is done with extra care. awesome.
Love these kinds of videos. Makes you appreciate a product much more because you see that an actual person who cares puts it together.
Praise the working ethic of Japanese.
