2.14 - "Needs Work"

Taken using my Nikon D750 with a 50mm 1.8G Nikkor and two Hahnel modus 600rt speed lights triggered wirelessly. One was to camera left with a Phottix Easy-up HD Umbrella Softbox 60x90cm on a light stand and the other one with a colored gel to camera right from behind the subject held by my mom and pointed to the gray background that I have in my studio. My studio is very small and that's why I make use of the 50mm in studio.
This lady was on her way to town for the day and stopped by for a few headshots. I live in rural area Namibia, and her farm is a few kilometers from where I farm. The reason that I picked out this image is because this is usually the type of image that I apply my watermark to. I don't always use my watermark on an image, but ones like these that my clients want to use on Facebook and social media usually get a watermark for the purpose of people knowing the photo was taken by me as clients don't always remember to tag the photographer. And also this photo represents who I am as a photographer, I like to photograph regular people with no modeling experience. The ones that feel they shouldn't be in front of a camera. I love making them feel beautiful and make the photo taking experience something to remember for them.

I'm seriously interested to hear why people voted on this pictures so harshly. The expression is perfect, it's sharp, the retouch is subtle, she looks very good, yet not fake at all. Very nice portrait in my opinion.
