Sunrise at Grand Canyon – a “time blended” shot of the stars and the sunrise at Mather Point! I got there around 4:00 AM and waited for the sunrise till 6:00. Being there and experiencing the Canyons rising out of the darkness (though under the blanket of a beautiful starry night) was surreal. This photo is a time-blended composite of two 120 degree panoramic sets (of four shots each). The difference was apparent on this side of the camera as well, where at 4:00 I was all by myself in that chilly night and by 6:00 the place was crowded with at least a hundred tourists gathered to get a glimpse of the sunrise.
