A genuine mountain rescue by heli from Snowdon, Wales.
I was on a Mountain Bike shoot with Osprey Europe with gorgeous conditions that we'd been waiting several days for. We actually extended the trip by a day when we realised we had our best chance at good light on the evening we were supposed to be travelling home.
6 days prior, I'd climbed the mountain and scouted to plan out our shots.
When it came to shooting, not only was the light stunning but half-way through a Coastguard heli plopped itself right in my background to perform a genuine rescue of someone we hadn't realised was injured just a few 100 metres down the trail from us.
Stood on top of a rock I threw them a salute as they flew off. One of the officers stood in the doorway and saluted back. Took me 3 days before I stopped feeling wired and inspired.
Thinking about joining the Coastguard one day too!
I love everything about this shot, including the story. Thanks for sharing brother! 5 stars!
Thanks Jay!
This is awesome, the colors are beautiful
The only thing I would like to see is the rotors of the helicopter in motion, not as frozen up, but other than that I'm loving it.
Cheers Marc. Good suggestion I hadn’t thought of!
Epic shot! A little motion would be cool, but the shot is dope :P
Thanks Graham!
