I live about 500 meters from this tree - it sits in a park on the other side of a freeway - so it's a one hour round trip to get there by foot. This new phase of lockdown means that we can only travel 5km from our homes and are only allowed out of the house for 1 hour a day. I had walked around this area the day before and didn't get anything special but worked out that the sun would rise behind this particular wattle tree and I might get a lucky shot. This particular morning, for some reason I woke up pre-dawn, and was sitting half-asleep in bed, contemplating whether to go out and shoot something or doze off for another hour. I'm not an early riser. I almost fell back asleep, but I caught a glimpse of red and purple through the blinds, realised that I needed to capture this shot. I legged it to the park just in time to snap this. The light dissipated about five minutes after, and I've returned every morning this week since hoping for something similar. Every shot I've taken there since has been complete garbage.

Stunning Simon!
Thanks Thane! This fstoppers rating system is brutal!
Yes no doubt! I's a shame, that contests have to be that way. I like to see what others are shooting, get ideas and rate and comment on the one's I like.
