Although this image looks like it's been taken on a hike or something, it was actually shot handheld from the side of my car while I was stuck in traffic. Col de Tende, between Italy and France, has a one way tunnel, so you have to wait 5-15 min for your turn. Above the col, the fog was swooping in from Italy to France. So I had time to get the tripod and XT3 out, and take that shot. It was morning, but a bit late (9 am), so already blue skies, which worked great for black and white. I kept the bottom of the picture at the verge of clipping, I like that really deep black look.
