Photo taken with a fully IR converted Sony 7iii, with 720nm filter. Lens was a Sony GM 100-400mm; photo taken at 394 mm, f/8, 1/800 sec. Edited in Lightroom Classic and Photoshop. Photo taken in Kenya's Amboseli National Park. This is one of two brothers that got a wildebeest kill the night prior to the photo. He was walking back to meet up with his brother who was guarding the kill while he went to the watering hole close by. This was our groups first encounter with lions and he walked directly in front of our vehicle. My heart was pounding hard. My favorite part of this photo is how he is darker than the background. In my opinion this lends to the dangerous mood of the photo.

Great crop for an editorial piece - lots of copy space on the right hand side.
Thanks. Photography on safari is unique, it is a whole lot of nothing followed by...OMG!!! shoot, shoot, shoot.
This is pretty darn close to exactly how I shot the photo. I tend to push dramatic subjects off to one side or the other to boost the tension. The copy space is an added benefit.
