Taken October 2024
Mohawk Falls, Ricketts Glen State Park, Pennsylvania. The park contains 24 named waterfalls, 21 of which can be seen on a 4.1 mile hiking loop. This was the first year I made the drive for autumn color. I don’t believe I saw it at peak color but it was still quite good. I arrived before dawn to avoid the casual day trip crowd, as the area is popular. Water flow was low so I was able to set up my tripod mid-stream without wet feet. I shot it at several speeds, preferring, in the end, the streamers of water produced by 8 seconds.
Editing consisted of mildly bumping the brightness and saturation on the fallen leaves, square crop, global toning and contrast, and cloning out some spots of blown out sky poking through at the very top.

Wonderful moment. Beautiful composition.
