This image of a Red Knot (Calidris canuta) was taken with my trusty D750 and Sigma 150-600mm sports lens, laying flat on some grass on the northern end of the Dutch Waddenisle Texel during autumn migration (1st half of october). Never had them come this close!
Did some cleaning up in DXOPureRaw and afterwards edited it to taste in CaptureOne. Did not remove any objects whatsoever, want my pictures to represent my actual observations.
ISO 1400, f/8, 1/3200 at max 600mm. According to my exif data the focus point was on some 9m.
