This image was captured using the original Fujifilm GFX 100, which served as an excellent backup camera for this shoot. It was taken on the final day of a five-day studio session for Whitespace Snow. My primary body, the GFX 100 II, was mounted on a salon stand, and I decided to revisit the original GFX 100 to capture additional "hero" images.
The project was an e-commerce shoot, utilizing two Profoto Pro-11 packs with four heads. My key light was a Profoto ProHead paired with a beauty dish and a grid, allowing for precise light control. Toward the end of the session, I experimented with color-matching an Aputure 600 to the model's wardrobe, using it to illuminate the cyc wall with a complementary hue.
This particular image was shot at f/11 with a shutter speed of 1/3 of a second, leveraging both motion and flash duration to achieve a dynamic effect. Thanks to the beauty dish and grid, I was able to eliminate any flash spill on the background, maintaining a clean and intentional lighting setup.
Over the course of this experiment, I created a series of 20 images, each featuring different color variations, using the original GFX 100. While all offered unique visual appeal, this particular shot stood out as my favorite. Sometimes the best shots happen in the last 15 mins of a few long studio days.
This image was shot and processed in C1. I was able to get adjustments were I wanted on location.
Cheers!
