This was taken with a cannon R7 and the RF100-400, this is I think the female of one of our local humming birds in roatan Honduras. Managed to get several shots of these guys, but I loved the light backlighting the wings

Lots of bird pics on this site. I wish you had motion in the wings. Sometimes the new technology is too good.
Agreed! Not sure if you have had this challenge particularly with humming birds. You need to have a fast enough shutter speed to freeze the birds head and feet, but ideally get that motion in their wings.
I think I haven’t found the sweet spot for shutters speed
Well, with my old camera equipment, I'm sure it would be blank or a blur.
