I woke up at around 4 am to catch a sunrise at the local cow pastures 5-min bike ride from my place, usually I just photograph the cows in the early morning light, but this morning was extra atmospheric, and I stumbled on this composition. I shot it handheld because I didn't bring a tripod, had to up the ISO a little to get a working shutterspeed. I like it because it had so many great elements, fog, sunrise, dramatic clouds and the ground was still wet from the mist.

Very nice image, but the blown out suns really hurts this.

Thank you for the feedback and I agree it is distracting, but it's a single frame no HDR and I just don't have any details left in the sun's highlight. I got some other nice shots the same morning with just sidelight of the cows grassing and in heinsight some of those might have been a better submission :)

I agree, this is a nice composition. I think it would be better if you could tone down the sun just a little.

Yea it's distracting, and I tried doing some radial gradient and giving it some negative dehaze to make it less harsh, I also did some negative black. It's blown out so I won't be able to recover details, and It's also behind a lot of mist.
Not sure what to do from this point, only solution would be an HDR stack AFAIK.

Looking back at that morning, most of my good shots were sidelight with cows grassing, this was a more landscape oriented composition with the dead tree etc.
