The image is from the Danube Delta. The last morning spent on the canals was amazing with this low hanging mist above the water creating a surrealist atmosphere.
I took this from a boat with the canon r5 and the rf 100-500 mm lens. As soon as i saw this pelican in the distance i knew this is the shot i came for. I have close-up shots of birds, but this esthetic is way more appealing to me - being a landscape photographer.
And this is one of the two favorite images from this trip. I have entered in the contest the second one too :)
