These are two cotton mouth water moccasins. I had many challenges taking this photo. This is just a natural light photo.

I was 8-10 feet away from them with a Nikon 70-200mm 2.8 lens. The first challenge is that I was on a beach road looking down in a ditch. While it wasn't super busy, I still needed to stay aware of cars, so they didn't hit me.

There were 4 snakes near each other. They were near a drain pipe, running under the highway. They would pick off small fish that swam through the drain. All of the sudden these snakes start dancing around each other. I talked to an expert and he said these are 2 males trying to impress a nearby female cottonmouth snake. I also had to worry about snakes crossing the street behind me as they're everywhere in this habitat.

A very nice photo but please do not watermark them like this. You can make it like a small detail in a corner. For me personnaly it ruins the vibe. I am guilty of doing this in the past but now I am over it. Sorry if I was to rough.
