This is one of three photos take at the Kalahuipua'a fish ponds on the Big Island of Hawaii. This is a magical place, especially at dawn when the water is still and clear. I was able to get focus on the bottom surface of the pond letting the reflection of the palm trees waver on the surface. I turned the photo upside down; artistic license!

This looks like it was painted, especially because of the sky texture. You nailed the colors too.
I love the painterly look. I thought it was done in post, until I read the story.
