I was out walking the dog with my wife when we came across a hedgehog nest that had been disturbed. The more little mites were scattered over the pavement and very cold. At the behest of my wife I stuffed the little hoggies down my jumper (Ouch) and ran the 700m home. Out came a box, warm water bottle and an old jumper. Before passing them on to the local Hedgehog rescue centre I snapped one of the little blighters (with a Fujifilm F10, flash off, natural light) in the palm of my hand. Their little prickles are quite sharp at even that age. All survived.

Chris, how cute from the underside, love your choice of composition, black and white, and the isolation on the black background ... which gives the hedgehog an egg shape. :)
Oh my word! This is absolutely adorable!! Way to take advantage of a unique opportunity!
