The photo was taken during a post-wedding shoot in Bolivia, in a forest with a challenging climate, as we could encounter any lighting situation. Harsh light, cloudy weather, wind, even rain. It was like rolling the dice. This time, we were faced with foggy weather, so we had to work with it.

I used a bare YN560III flash as a backlight, triggered with a YN560TX. Its light would help us achieve that glowing effect. The mist in the forest helped to create that effect.

I use a Nikon D800 and a Nikkor 35mm/1.4G at f/4, 1/200s, ISO800

Processed in Lightroom with my color preset and a high K in WB for warm ambient, and some minimal details with Photoshop. I really liked the result!

Really nice shot! :) Maybe a round backlight would be even better, making it look like it was natural light/sunset, but, that's just my personal opinion :)

The fog was a gift! It helps make the light visible and you created some nice dramatic effect!
