For a while, I was doing 52frames to try and boost my creativity and get me thinking about different ideas. On this particular week the subject was simply egg.

I took the photo on the edge of our bathroom sink. Our chickens were underperforming and eggs were scarce. So I set up the shot using a tangerine and embroidery thread with a speedlite bounced off the bathroom ceiling. When I was happy, I removed the fruit and tentatively cracked the egg (only two left as my wife had recently baked a cake) and got the shot.

Post production was mostly getting the shadow and the edge of the sink to look more uniform and tidying up fibres on thread.

I enjoyed 52frames for a while but the subjects they presented never aligned with what was happening in my life. I am happy trying to boost creativity on projects I choose to work on, my choices....

Canon EOS70D, f/8, 1/320sec, ISO-100, 26mm Speedlite flash with spill kill dish, Tripod, large blue shell egg laid by Nistle.
