Believe it or not but this photo was taken outside in the middle of the day. I placed a collapsible backdrop to lean against the fence and then the owner walked his horse in front of it. The backdrop was tiny (2m x 1.5m) compared to the horse so I had to work hard to find the perfect angle to get the backdrop exactly behind the horse while keeping the head in good angle as well. I think I pretty much nailed it in this shot.
Gear used: Olympus E-M5III + M.Zuiko 12-100mm f/4 PRO IS. No flash, no reflectors, nothing but the ambient light (ie. sun behind the clouds). Obviously the SOOC-JPG looked completely different as I've changed the texture of the backdrop in post and made it way darker and added vignetting etc.
I haven't printed this but as I went through my best work this was one of the shots that immediately yelled "I'd look good on a wall!" 😁
