Fujifilm has announced the GFX100RF, the first fixed-lens digital camera in its GFX medium format system. This new camera aims to provide high-resolution photography in a compact form, making it the lightest GFX model yet, weighing approximately 1.62 lb (735 g).
The GFX100RF features a 102-megapixel GFX CMOS II HS sensor paired with Fujifilm's X-Processor 5 image processor, designed to enhance dynamic range, low-light performance, and autofocus accuracy. The fixed FUJINON 35mm f/4 lens (equivalent to a 28mm angle of view in 35mm terms) employs a leaf shutter, enabling a shorter back focus distance and silent operation, alongside flash synchronization at any mechanical shutter speed.
Notably, the camera introduces an Aspect Ratio Dial, allowing users to quickly switch between nine different ratios, including the newly added 3:4 and 17:6 options. It also includes a digital teleconverter for additional focal lengths and a built-in 4-stop ND filter for use in bright environments.
The camera is built for flexibility, with improved AF tracking, a high-resolution 5.76-million-dot electronic viewfinder, and compatibility with Frame.io's Camera to Cloud service. The camera body, constructed from precision-machined aluminum, emphasizes durability and premium handling, while its compact design ensures portability.

My ideal casual-carry scenic/landscape/travel version would have a 21mm-35mm f5.6 zoom. If I only wanted 61MP @ 35mm, I'd just carry my a7CR.
