The box turtle is the state turtle of Indiana, where I live. I found this one in the woods when I was in the woods looking squirrels to photograph. I took many photos of it, but these were my favorite. It was inclined to hide from me, so the fact I got it's head out for these helps a lot. This species is endangered, and I wanted to do it justice.
First time this young lady posed and worked in studio. Just finished her Masters degree and is now pursuing her PhD.
Just a few interesting details walking around a couple of towns in Germany. In the second one, I was just captured by the setting sunlight in an alley.
Spotted close to walking trail in Ebor NSW. Intense body colour indicates recent skin shedding.
We just came back from NE Oregon location scouting Zumwalt Prairie and Enterprise/Joseph area as well.

I think you captured its colors wonderfully.
The colors were pretty washed out in the first place. It took quite some bit of postprocessing to get them back. I'm thankful it paid off. Thank you!
